The President's Cup @ Harding Park

Jeff and I went to the President's Cup that is being held at Harding Park in San Francisco. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! We got there about 9:30 and scouted out the course...food and shopping...hee hee...like my new hat? I could never find a hat that I am happy with...too hot, too small...etc...this one fit nicely. Jeff also got one...(see below), minus the bow in the back of the hat!

We saw Tiger! Today was a practice round...so, we were allowed to take pictures...although we couldn't take our cell phones into the course. Amazes me...some people still smuggled in their phones, and they didn't put it on MUTE! AUGH!

The International Team were wearing the blue shirts...Greg Norman (in a sling), Ernie Els, and Mike Weir.

Anthony Kim, teeing off at the 15.
AND SURPRISE!!!! LOOK WHO IS WITH TIGER....MICHAEL!!!

Don't you just love Jordan? Sigh....I think he is sticking his tongue out...hee hee...we were more excited to see Michael than to see most of the golfers....sigh....after all who is our oldest son named after? Hint: It is NOT for King Hussein....of JORDAN....although he did pass away right before Jordan was born....and we told Jeff's basketball team that it was in memory of King Hussein....and some of the kids believe us....sigh.....

Weekend Catchup

So, this weekend was busy with a birthday party, BWA Rummage Sale, the Warriors Pre-Season start and just catching up on crafts and SLEEP...

Jeff was busy installing the exhaust system on my car. Hmm...Dylan, if you are reading this, maybe you should come see if he installed it correctly...just kidding...

Here is the end result...I think he needs to make a minor adjustment...and since we will be gone this weekend...he will have to do it sometime later this month.

On Saturday we went to Makaela's 4th birthday. Look at all of the little girls, and 1 boy...poor Jason...The "big kids", Kaitlyn, Jordan and Neil were hiding....it was a nice get together...and it's amazing to see how big these kids are getting....I also received my Fire Mountain Beads shipment. Now I can try to make that Honu charm... and package up some crystals for the strawberry charm. I'm getting it ready for the Girl's Vegas Trip....everyone is going to learn how to make a Strawberry.....I think the pineapple might be easier....I guess I will give them a choice.

Yes, the crowds were a little dead and there were no Club 200 activties for the boys. We gave our tickets to some friends...and then another friend called and said she had 4 seats. So, we decided to go as a family. So, after a nice dinner at Rocky's...thank you Andi and Jeff T. ...we met up with them at the game. Our seats are in the next section from 2 of the 4 seats. Jeff and Neil sat in Mrs. Fujii's seats in the upper level. It was a nice night, and we were able to see our friend Lucy, she sat next to us last season, and Eric, who just moved back from Canada, and happens to be Andi's cousin-in-law....small world, eh?

Who's Car is it?

Last week...the UPS guy stops by the house and I sign for this bulky looking box. Hmmm...I know I didn't order THAT much fabric online...plus, it was on a handtruck...so, although fabric can be heavy, it wouldn't be THAT heavy.

Ok, the box is addressed to Jeff....oh dear...."350Z" is stamped on the side of the box. This isn't good.

This is what was inside.... Here is a closer look....
Jeff is installing a new exhaust system on MY car. sigh...well, the guys are happy...and excited...it better not be my Christmas present...

Lunching with the Ladies!

Today was Ross McGowan's last day on KTVU's Mornings on 2. He is retiring...and although he didn't want to sound cliche...he said, that he will "miss the people" after he retires...it is so true!

Today I was lucky to have lunch with two of my favorite people...(I do love all you other Documentos...) Jenny and Linda. I have worked with Jenny for years, since before Jordan was born...Linda and I were paired up in a Mentor program. Both are great and we have been able to relate on more than just a "work relationship". Jenny's daughter Megan was the "teen" I rented to go to the fair...and I have known her since she was 5-ish....Megan is now at American High. Linda's daughter was in middle school when we met, Chelsea is now in college... Afterwards we walked around the mall. They had a display of pumpkins....I LOVE glass ...even pumpkins....I did resist and not buy anything....but aren't they pretty?
I may have to go back and look at them more closely....I think I am free on Tuesday... hmmmm.....
Can you tell which ones I like in this picture? yup the purple ones....there were some really cute tiny purple pumpkins...I know..."purple" pumpkins? but, they are so pretty!!!

Blame it on the Canadians...not....all my fault!

Tonight we had a lovely dinner with Lori, Nick, and Lori's parents, Vivienne and Joe. I even put my camera on the table so that I would remember to take a picture for my Blog. I have been thinking of it all day....should I take a picture of their shoes, since Lori is camera shy when it comes to posting pictures online? Should I just take a picture of Vivienne and Joe? Should I just take a picture of the wine bottles?

Ok...I admit it...I moved the camera off of the table when we started to eat because I was afraid Nick would spill something on it....(insert a HUGE LAUGH here...) and I forgot to take a picture...So, you will have to settle for a picture of the wine!

I don't know what is happening to me...I USED to be so good about taking pictures....sigh!
On a good/bad note...my Personal Trainer session didn't happen today...Heather had a migraine...so, I got off easy...just 40 minutes on the treadmill then I went to Costco with Michelle... :)

FINALLY!!! LAS VEGAS, baby!

This post is dedicated to Preston! He was able to recover my pictures from our August trip to Las Vegas. He even burned them on a CD for me....my brother Gary told me that my card is corrupted...don't know how that happened...but, since it has a lifetime warranty, I have to send it back.

Here are some pics from Las Vegas...hmmm...I think I will start with food. FOOD is always good!

We started our trip off with some Ramen in San Mateo. It's the place above the Suruki grocery store. It's quite yummy, our second favorite place only because you have to pay for parking. (And Santa Ramen is next door to Joann's...so, I can kill two birds with one stone).

Of course, after we landed and checked into the hotel...we headed out to Roberto's. Yum Yum Yum!!! Rolled tacos, quesidillas, and my carne asada flying saucer!
This is Jeff's friend Patty. She met us at the 4 Kegs. OMG! The strombolli was SO GOOD...we went back and got 2 to go on Sunday night. We brought one home and had it for dinner when we got back to Fremont! You have to get the marinara sauce to dip the strombolli! We also had Pink's at the Planet Hollywood. After we got back, we compared stories with Darren and found out that they marked it up. Sigh, no big surprise. Are you wondering what is on the left side of the tray? That's Jeff's dinner...two hot dogs, with chili and the works, WRAPPED in a flour tortilla. Um, yes, Jordan ended up polishing it off.

I'll post more pictures tomorrow....once again, Thank you Preston for saving my pictures, and my life. (Jeff wasn't too happy when the card crashed!)

Yeah...another quilt done...and hearts, hearts, HEARTS

While Jeff and the boys went to the Stanford vs UWA game last night, I worked on finishing up my 2nd quilt kit. This one is in green....it was not suppose to be a square quilt...but, I didn't feel ambitious enought to use the diagram provided...so, I improvised and used the same pattern from the 1st quilt. I think I have the hang of it now...This time, I purchased some basting spray (a spray that helps keep the layers together), and it worked WONDERFULLY!!! I also cut out almost 500 hearts for my holiday cards! This is the second time I am attempting to make this card...last year, I LOST ALL OF MY HEARTS!!! I was "heart-broken"...hee hee... now, I need to embellish, crimp, glue and accent...and my cards will be done. I am running a little late, I usually start in August since I make almost 120 cards. hmmm...maybe I should make one card, post it on FB and send everyone a link....something to think about!
