Tri-City Basketball Tourney

Neil had his first basketball tournament of the season. Lauren (my cousin's daughter, came out to watch! She brought some yummy cupcakes for the boys. It was nice catching up with her, and I promised to have her, Jackie (her sister) and Matt (Lauren's boyfriend) over for dinner soon. (I need to dig up those pictures of Lauren when she was a BABY!)

I remember when Lauren was born...and both Lauren and Jackie were my flowergirls @ our wedding. Sigh...she will always be that little girl...and um, well...Jordan is now taller than Lauren...I think Lauren is trying to stretch herself in this pic...

Gotta love the Warrior GAMES....

Ok...so, it hasn't been the best of seasons for the Warriors....but, the games are still fun...and since our tickets are by the Visitor bench...we get to see the players up close....

So, why would someone who we love DEARLY...listen to an audio book during the game????

Saturday, Neil has a tournament in Santa Clara...I'll try to post a video...

AUGH!!!!!!

So, I was BORED with rectangles.... scarfs, afghans, wraps, shawls, etc...so, I wanted a "challenge". So, let's try this sweater...yeah, no problem... everyone @ the yarn shop said that it was a "really easy pattern". hmmm... that doesn't help when I have to take apart 40+ rows.... This is the mess I have to deal with tonight....

works of "art"

Today, we received a wedding invite in the mail....it came in a box! It was really pretty....It's really pretty...and it swivels out on a brad...that is under the flower...Maybe, I'll take a picture of that tomorrow...

A few months ago Jordan's Yugioh and Pokemon cards were taken away. (He may get them back by Spring Break). So, Jordan and a friend, Tony, decided to make their own cards.
I found these on the table after he went to bed.
Yes, I noticed the misspelling...

More Aloha from the Islands

ok, this might not be too exciting for Alan Urasaki, but, I received a present from someone who just got back from Hawaii!

A shopping bag from Foodland...check it out! Saimin, Shave Ice, Spam Musubi, etc....

Isn't it cool? I'll be the envy at the grocery stores...hmmm...maybe it's too nice for the store...maybe for my yarn? Ah! Those transplant Island people may try to steal it...I better put my name on the bottom!

One tourney down, 3 to go

This is the first time I am posting a video to the Blog....I wonder how it will turn out.

Jordan played @ Berkeley High for the Ohtani Tournament. They lost both games...the first to a girl's team from Sacramento. Those Sac girls are tough...just like the cousins, from the prior post...The second game to a team from Diablo (Concord). Jordan is #40 and makes the basket in this clip. Next weekend, Neil will be playing in the Tri-City jamboree...and in March our organization will host a jamboree.

We had a large break in between games (9:30 and 3:30 tip off times)...so, we had lunch at the Emeryville Public Market and visited with Grandma @ the convalescent home. We picked her up some lunch...her favorite saba (mackerel) and rice. She ate some and Mom said she will give her the rest for dinner. Hopefully, she will be able to start rehab tomorrow. I don't think she has walked yet...not a good sign.
