Gotta love family...

Jeff's Bachan (grandmother), Auntie Joanne and cousin Lisa came to visit. Bachan and Auntie Jo dropped by to visit Jeff's other grandmother who is in the hospital. Lisa babysat while Jeff and I attended a memorial service.
My parents and brother Dean also came up to visit Grandma.
At the end of the evening we had a great dinner... Bachan left earlier to visit her sisters...and Auntie Jo and Lisa went to the Warrior/Thunder game...currently we are tied 60 with 2.47 left in the 2nd period.

Just a Short Post

Hello everyone! Just a short post tonight...it has been a crazy few days....yesterday morning, before Jeff left for work...his mother called to say that I didn't have to 'Grandma-sit' because she fell and is going to the hospital.

This is the same Grandmother that had colon surgery less than a month ago...she ended up breaking her hip and required surgery to "screw it together". (metal plates and all...)

She underwent surgery late yesterday afternoon and after a short hospital stay, will move to a convalescent home for further rehab.

More later....

Baby Quilt!

Yes, it is my weekend to finish those "started projects".... We had a new neighbor move in last summer....at the time, she "looked" pregnant... but you know the rule "never ask"... so, in November, we broke the rule because it was VERY obvious....Yes, she was pregnant...and due in December.

She had a baby girl...I started making this quilt... no I am not that creative...it was a kit...all I had to do was cut the squares and sew... they even tell you how to lay out the squares...but, I messed that up.

It was that hard...as long as you have a seam ripper to take it apart over and over to ensure that the squares are in line.

I finished!!!

Yeah!!! I FINALLY finished Neil's robe....I have had the material for about 7 months...and I got it done last night.

Neil looks "puffy" because he wouldn't take off his fleece jacket....Now I feel better....his other robe was getting so small and short.....yeah..another thing for the church Rummage sale.

The Women's Association at church also had an Udon Luncheon fundraiser...that I chaired...scary, huh....

Besides the delicious udon, we had cabbage salad/orange and cake. Okay, we needed more cake...I already made the mental note....
