Snow in Salinas

Life has been very hectic this week. Last Friday I caught a ride down to Salinas for a friend's father's funeral. Jeff was suppose to pick me up on Saturday and to celebrate my father's birthday...but, he woke up sick...so, my brother Gary drove me home. Before we left Salinas...we were treated to a rare sight of snow! The above picture is of the (unplanted) fields...can you believe it's in color? Jordan thought I took it in B&W!

Sunday was spent at a basketball tournament in Berkeley...it was a nice day filled with basketball, friends and family...cousins that I haven't seen in a while!

Jeff finally went back to work today and we even did some more snack bar shopping---more of that later!

Dim Sum and trains....

Before the Abangs left to go home on Sunday, we all met with Randy, Tarryn, Tyler and Alanna Hew for dim sum in Mt View. It was just a few blocks from the Cal Train station and Farmer's Market...so, we wandered over there before Jordan's basketball game.

Isaac didn't want to let go of Neil's leg...

SF with the Abangs

On Saturday, we pick up Nick, Jazel and Isaac Abang for a car tour of San Francisco. It was rainy, but we were nice and warm in the minivan...luckily, the three boys fit in the back seat.

Isaac enjoyed sourdough bread at the Beach Chalet...

Awwww...aren't they cute?

Neil, the camera is over here....

The happy family!

CRUNCH!

Sniff sniff...how can I have emotional ties to a cat abused couch? But, I did...when I called Allied Waste for a bulk pickup...I knew that they would take away my couches and dispose of them...I didn't expect them to be CRUNCHED in front of me...sniff sniff...I can't believe my eyes watered...our first couches...housewarming presents from my parents gone...sniff sniff...

Ah...a new car!

Ah...new car shopping! Ya gotta love it! Too bad it wasn't for me...my brother Gary totaled his car last year while Mom was I the hospital. Much to my father's dismay, dad loaned him his Lexus, he hasn't bought a new one.

It's a Nissan Rogue...the smaller Nissan crossover....I like it...although I really liked the Nissan Juke...but, it has no legroom in the back. jeff points out that it has more legroom than my Z...I guess when you look at it like that, he is right. Oh, speaking of Z's...I like the 370z more than I thought I would. Not sure about the Armada...but, that RED Juke...TOO CUTE,

More Bo Bunny

While most people were watching the Super Bowl...I was watching Jordan and then former teammates, Eden, play basketball. Afterwards, we went to eat dinner...Jeff and Neil joined us after hitching a ride with one of the Eden parents. (Neil played the younger Eden team).

I was happy to find out that Jazzy Crafts was open. It is a craft store that I haven't been able to explore because it was either closed or Jeff was with me. Yeah! Score! Remember my post from a few days ago? Jazzy Crafts carries Bo Bunny! Yeah yeah! Above is a picture of my treasures!

I was limited in my exp, orange because Jeff showed up...darn him...and the rest of the families....so, Shelley and I are going to go explore more on Friday...oh and we are also hitting up Beverly's in Alameda!

I am sure I will have something to post on Friday!
