They are the Champions!

This past weekend, Jordan and his Ninja team played in the SF Flying Eagles tournament.

The boys played well and hard...and they looked sharp in their new uniforms...unfortunately, we played the Championship game short one player...Kyle got bumped on the nose and we are awaiting word from the Dr to see if he will be able to play in the VFW tournament in LA in 10 days...

Surprise....

:D Surprise!

Where has the time gone? I have been totally caught up adjusting to the new schedule. I had it so easy for the past 5 1/2 years...since we live right behind the elementary school...I never had to worry about drop offs or pick ups...and since Neil has had a key for the past few years...I even fudged a little getting home on time.

September has been full of activity...two weddings, the Girls Trip to Las Vegas, and craft, craft, craft....

First off....my loving congratulations to Joanna and Danny! Danny and I worked together and he was one of my Lunch buddies...he also helped coach the boys at SACBC. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend their beautiful wedding because of the girl's trip. But, I was thinking of them! Love to you two!

The second wedding of September, was our cousin Keith's wedding to Mimi. It was a beautiful day and it was nice to go to another happy occasion! Our love to the both of them!

The latest trend at wedding seems to be photo booths! Both Danny and Keith had one at their weddings...I am very tempted to use one of these pictures for our Holiday Cards!

There are still a lot of babies coming! I finished two baby fleece blankets, am in the middle of another crochet blanket...and a pound of baby yarn waiting for me...how am I going to get to my Holiday cards? Not to mention presents that are waiting for me?

I realized that it is October and I made myself work on the Halloween wreath this week. I am really happy with the way it turned out!

Ninja Fall Season is in full swing. Jordan and the 7th grade boys' team won the Silicon Valley JACL championship during Labor Day weekend. This weekend they will be playing in the SF Eagles Tourney and in a few weeks, the VFW Tourney in Los Angeles. Jeff is coaching the 6th grade Girls...and they are also going to both tourneys. The above pictures were taken while I was in Las Vegas. (The Ninjas changed the date AFTER we booked flights, hotel etc...I am not a bad Mom)

I decided to upgrade the Ninja Moms bracelets...l love them!

Have a warm and dry October!

Good things come in small packages...

When we were in Hawaii, I saw an article in the paper about a "limited edition" Spam can that was going to be released. Unfortunately, it was being released the day AFTER we left...but, luckily we still had friends on the island.

The Shens struck out...they couldn't find it...but, Leonard came though! no wonder the US Government trusted him for 20+ years! Today, the sent it to us...I thought I was going to pick it up at Marsha's Mom's house...but, it was a nice surprise.

Oh, I just gotta say something else....next to the article about the limited edition Spam can was another article. Someone in Hawaii tried to order something online from Home Depot...they received an email from HD stating that "although Home Depot values it's Hawaiian customers, Hawaii is a US territory, not one of the 50 US states...so they do not ship to Hawaii..." HELLO HOME DEPOT!

First day of school

Last Wednesday was the first day of school...Neil is entering 5th grade and Jordan started Junior High...7th grade.

Jordan's comment...."this is going to be hard"! He was referring to getting up. He had it easy in elementary school...we live behind the school and he would leave the house when he heard the first bell...now he has to walk to his friend's house for a ride to Thornton...

Neil, on the other hand...is enjoying his sleeping in time...I can't believe my little one is in 5th grade. He is getting so big!

Mr and Mrs Mantani!!!!

Happy Anniversary to my little flower girl who is all grown up!

Lauren married her Prince Charming Matthew last month at The Ranch in San Jose. It was a beautiful day and Lauren was radiant!

It is so fun watching the "next generation" grow up and begin their lives...makes me scared thinking that one day Jordan and Neil will be getting married...but, I have a long time to go before that happens.

The MOB --- Mother Of the Bride....my cousin Teri....is she cute with her bling sling? She had shoulder surgery a month before the wedding...I saw her last weekend...and the scar is hardly noticiable! Yeah!

My other flower girl...Jackie...at Jordan's baby shower, this girl was itching to get out of her sister's dress...she wanted to wear shorts and a t-shirt...but, Lauren probably forced her to wear a dress....

My what 12 years does to a girl...

Get ready for a flurry of "catch-up" posts

Yeah...school is back in session! This summer just flew by...I don't know what happened!

I was able to get a few projects done....the first picture is a necklace that I originally made to wear to a wedding...but, when I was done, the color wasn't right and the bead didn't sit right...so, it will have to wait until the fall and wear it with a sweater or turtleneck....

The focal bead was from a trunk show a few years ago...it has beautiful embellishments on the back as well as the front. I wanted a sparkly rope, but not something too overwhelming...so, I decided on a spiral rope with Swarovski crystals.

There are a lot of babies coming! I finished two blankets in August! Now I am waiting for the babies! I still need to make one more!

Aloha!

(delayed post, since Jeff won't let me blog while on vacation...more to come when I finish uploading my pictures...)

It has been quite a while since I blogged...I have been busy with dealing with the van repairs and getting ready for KO'OLINA!

Jordan was so happy to see Globaltap..."Mom, it's famous"! But, he didn't bring his own bottle!

Our first few days were in Waikiki, not our favorite place, but inexpensive rooms with easy access to food....

Sorry, no pictures of Blazin Steaks, Rainbows, or Shiro's...we scarfed it down before the camera came put...since there were no leftovers...no pictures...sorry! Ya gotta go try them yourselves!

I did remember to take pictures at Boots!

Their famous pancakes....

Neil's Eggs Benedict...

He ate the whole thing! I was shocked!

Morning at Lanikai Beach...beautiful!

And an evening at the Obon....

I did remember to take picture at Taiyo Ramen...but, not in time...It was ONO!
